College of Business Administration
Kansas State University
Wayfinding, History, and Donor Recognition
Introduction
Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration faced the challenge of bringing three seemingly disconnected elements — wayfinding, history, and donor recognition — into their facility in a cohesive, effective, streamlined delivery.
We combined the three elements as individual pieces of the larger K-State story and blended digital wayfinding, history, and donor elements into an overarching digital framework that complements static wayfinding and donor recognition throughout the facility. Digital kiosks serve as a one-stop shop for wayfinding and deeply layered storytelling experiences, including the timeline of KSU’s College of Business and how today’s donors fit into that story. Digital donor recognition quotes from donors on their named spaces and meeting rooms add humanity and personal connection to an often cold form of recognition. These digital experiences ensure that visitors can easily navigate the facility while engaging with its rich history and the contributions of its supporters.
