Boston University needed to modernize its women’s hockey facilities, creating an environment that enhances recruitment, celebrates the program’s storied legacy, and embodies its championship culture. By incorporating storytelling elements, BU sought to showcase its history of success—including its international players and historic achievements—ensuring that both recruits and current athletes develop a strong connection to the program’s identity. The project was implemented in phases, gradually upgrading facilities to maintain consistency throughout. A key focus was transforming the locker room into a central stop on recruiting visits, reinforcing BU’s commitment to women’s hockey as a distinct and thriving program.
Advent played an essential role in realizing BU’s vision, seamlessly blending tradition with modern design to create a space that both honors the past and excites the future. Through immersive storytelling and visual elements, Advent helped bring BU’s hockey legacy to life, highlighting championship triumphs, Olympian alumni, and the team’s ongoing pursuit of excellence.
By enhancing the walk-path from coaching offices to the locker room, the Advent team strengthened the program’s identity at every step, ensuring that players and recruits experience the depth of BU’s hockey culture. The result was more than just an updated facility—it became a dynamic, inspiring space that reflects the program’s history, ambition, and commitment to success.
