Introduction
With updated locker rooms and team spaces in the Al McGuire Center, Marquette University’s women’s basketball program has a modern, inspiring home worthy of Big East champions.
Anchored by a glowing dimensional Marquette logo in the ceiling, the Golden Eagles locker room balances the traditional aesthetic of richly textured woodwork with sleek lighting elements and team graphics. The design throughout the space is driven by messages of discipline, excellence and family, and these values take pride of place in the player’s lounge.
All design elements and messages in the space revolve around the facility showpiece — the locker room’s curved outer wall of Family Rules, including “Put Others First” and “Empower Others.” The centerpiece of this display, and the facility, is an eye-catching metal panel emblazoned with the brand touchstone, “Leave Your Marq.”
