CASE STUDY
The renovation of the new Jack C. Massey Center combined Belmont’s 3D Initiative – Design, Discovery, Data – and state of the art collaborative spaces with a new Welcome Center for the Admission Department, along with the bookstore and cafe. The space needed to bring the student life to the tour to welcome potential new students and their families, but it also needed to tell the story of a mid-size University on the rise. Advent’s Story Team set out to interview 26 stakeholders—students, alumni, donors, faculty, administrators—to understand what those audience groups should THINK. FEEL. REMEMBER. and DO. when they interacted with the space. The result was a story theme and attributes that combined to create an audience journey that touched on the emotional connections that the Bruins was to create in the new center.
