Introduction

West Hall Rotunda

Located at the heart of the main campus, West Hall is an artery to much of the campus’ academics. Advent collaborated with the university to preserve the historical elements of the century-old building while bringing new energy into the space that students interact with on a daily basis.

The West Hall rotunda is a stop-and-pause structure on Valdosta State’s historic campus. Valdosta-red ribbons, which recognize each of the university’s colleges, hang 25 feet from the ceiling on each of the eight pillars supporting the sky-lit dome. Within the arched frames recognize past commencements, enshrining the university’s graduation ceremonies. The mid-level balcony within the West Hall lobby holds a Valdosta State dimensional logo directly opposite the building’s main entrance.
