Interns at Advent are often heavily involved in the fabrication/installation process on actual projects with the potential to enhance their professional skill set. If you like doing the impossible, this is the place for you.
Interns will be asked to complete various tasks throughout the internship that span across all aspects of the business. Daily assignments will vary.
Participation in brainstorming sessions
Development of project timelines and critical paths
Assisting with management of online photo library
Assisting with presentations
Assisting with project management–related tasks
Coordination with architects/general contractors as needed
Reviewing of production documents and shop drawings for accuracy
General office tasks
Organizing project files
Preparing presentation/sample boards, etc.
Ability to solve problems on the fly
Basic computer knowledge (Macintosh experience preferred but not required)
General understanding of marketing and communications
Ability to be flexible with schedule
Need to be well-organized and must have attention to detail
A self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
Proactive, not reactive
Mad spreadsheet skills
